ArchiMate® Forum

Objective of Meeting

The aim of the meeting was progression of the work of the ArchiMate Forum.

Summary

The ArchiMate Forum’s San Francisco member meeting was held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in conjunction with The Open Group Conference and Members Meetings. There were four voting members present.

The Forum Chair presented an update on the status of the Forum in the form of the updated roadmap. The current areas of activity are the ArchiMate 2.0 specification announcement, certification program announcement, reference model development, the publication of the ArchiSurance Case Study, and continued collaboration with the Architecture Forum related to harmonizing the Architecture Content Framework.

The Forum reviewed the proposals for additional work: ArchiMate-Security, Open Library for Architecture case studies, mapping ArchiMate- UML, work on the TOGAF ACF ArchiMate White Paper to make sure that it contains the appropriate language as prescribed by The Open Group. The new work items will be put forward to the members.

The Forum discussed the White Papers: TOGAF ACF ArchiMate; TAA.

Next Steps

The Forum is scheduled to next meet in a face-to-face meeting in Cannes in April 2012. Logistics for the meetings will be available in the ArchiMate Forum calendar and The Open Group website.
