The ArchiMate Forum’s London member meeting was held on Wednesday May 11, 2011 in conjunction with the London Open Group Conference and Members Meetings. There were four voting members present.
The Forum Chair presented an update on the status of the Forum in the form of the Member Spotlight slides. The current areas with activity are ArchiMate specification development, development of a certification program, reference model development, and collaboration with the Architecture Forum related to harmonizing the Architecture Content Framework.
The Forum agreed that the committee draft of the revision to the ArchiMate specification was now ready to proceed into the formal approvals process. The Forum also agreed that the ArchiMate certification materials should be updated to address the revised ArchiMate specification. This will include updates to the Conformance Requirements for People certification, training courses, and tools.
The Forum approved the formation of a Working Group to create a reference model for the Insurance sector. This activity will be led by Iver Band.
A status report was provided on the joint activity with the Architecture Forum to harmonize the Architecture Content Framework. This is expected to produce results by the end of the year, with suggested improvements for both ArchiMate and TOGAF. It was agreed that this will not impact the next revision to the ArchiMate specification which is due before then.
