The Data Storage Management Specification (XDSM) provides a mechanism whereby vendor specific attribute names can be defined. Such names begin with '_' (0x5F) and the following 3 bytes are used to identify individual vendors. To register a prefix, send mail to xdsmreg@opengroup.org, clearly stating the following information: - Your company name
- The 3-letter prefix that you wish to register
You will receive a reply that either confirms your request or reports that your chosen prefix clashes with one that has been previously allocated. Currently the following prefixes are defined: |
