Publications freely available for download
Many of our electronic publications can be downloaded free-of-charge; selected publications are free to The Open Group members only. All free publications are clearly marked.

Note about corrigenda
The Open Group may need to issue formal corrections to a technical standard or other publication from time to time. A List of corrigenda is provided. If a corrigendum applies, a clear indication is given in the relevant catalog entry for that publication. You should be aware that corrigenda may be applied to the electronic version of a publication. If so, this will be documented in the preface.

Shipping charge and local taxes
The shipping rate depends on your delivery location and service (if offered).

The specific shipping charge and service options applicable to your order will be displayed before you add the item in your shopping basket. Note that the shipping charge includes postage and a handling charge.

Depending on your location, a local sales tax may be applicable. Hard copy publications are zero rated for Value Added Tax (VAT) in the EEC, including the UK. CD-ROMs, license plates and electronic publications are liable to VAT in the EEC. US local and state taxes are applicable where the delivery address for the publications is in California (8.5%) or Massachusetts (5%). The state taxes do not apply to the postage and packing/shipping charges.

Shipping methods and times
Orders are shipped from the UK and the US. We aim to dispatch items within 3-5 working days as long as you provide a contact phone number for delivery. For orders to the US or outside EU we use UPS, Fedex or USPS. US delivery is typically sent UPS Ground and takes 5 days after dispatch. For the UK and EU we use Royal Mail. UK deliveries are usually within 2 working days after dispatch. Once dispatched we will send you tracking information if available. You can also login to your account within the store to check order status and to print receipts.
