Cloud Computing Business Scenario Workshop

A Report by Terry Blevins, Dave Lounsbury, Martin Kirk, and Chris Harding

The Open Group conference in Toronto, Canada, July 2009 included a workshop, conducted by Terry Blevins of Mitre, whose purpose was to gather input for a Cloud Computing Business Scenario; i.e., customer views on the motivations for, and key requirements of, the use of Cloud Computing technologies. It focused on the pain-points that customers experience through not using Cloud Computing. This report describes this valuable input.

Further input will be needed to complete the Business Scenario, which is due to be completed during the summer of 2009.
