Base Definitions (XBD), Issue 6, 2004 Edition

This document is a revision of the Base Definitions volume of IEEE Std 1003.1-2001 and ISO/IEC 9945:2003, incorporating IEEE Std 1003.1-2001/Cor 1-2002 (identical to ISO/IEC 9945:2002/Cor 1:2003) and IEEE Std 1003.1-2001/Cor 2-2004 (identical to ISO/IEC 9945:2003/Cor 1:2004). This document forms part of the Single UNIX Specification, Version 3 (T041). It provides definitions common to System Interfaces, Issue 6, Shell and Utilities, Issue 6, and Rationale, Issue 6. It contains all the general terms, concepts, and interfaces common to the Single UNIX Specification, Version 3 including utility conventions and C-language header definitions. This document was developed by the Austin Group, a joint working group of the IEEE, The Open Group, and ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC22/WG15.
