Internationalized System Calls and Libraries Extd.

Category: Operating System Services [SE]

This Product Standard is a substantially extended version of the Internationalized System Calls and Libraries Product Standard. The extensions are a set of application programming interfaces taken from the most widely available operating systems traditionally, but not accurately called UNIX, with the objective of producing, in conjunction with the Commands and Utilities Product Standard, a single common API specification capable of supporting a large range of historical applications, in addition to standard Base/POSIX-conformant applications.

Product Standards are explained in Practical Guide to the Open Brand
