LABEL FOR LOGO

See DESCRIPTION below and the POSIX Trademark License Agreement.

DESCRIPTION

This Product Standard is for operating system environments providing realtime services based on IEEE Std 1003.13 Profile PSE54. This supports applications portability at the source code level and includes the provision of a standard operating system interface and environment, including a full file system implementation and support for multiple users.

There are two sets of conformance requirements in this Product Standard as defined below. The applicable level of conformance for a certified product is denoted in the certification label for logo.

Consult the POSIX®: Certified by IEEE and The Open Group web site for information on which conformance requirements are applicable for this Product Standard.

CONFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

INDICATORS OF COMPLIANCE
Interim Conformance

For the POSIX_* Units of Functionality and POSIX.1 Option Requirements, a test report from the currently authorized release of the VSPSE54-2003 test suite in POSIX01 mode. This report may exclude the tests for POSIX Tracing.

For the XSI_* Units of Functionality, a test report from the currently authorized release of the VSPSE54-2003 test suite in UNIX03 mode.

A test report from the currently authorized release of the VSCPCTS-2003 test suite.

Hard Conformance

For the POSIX_* Units of Functionality and POSIX.1 Option Requirements, a test report from the currently authorized release of the VSPSE54-2003 test suite in POSIX01 mode.

For the XSI_* Units of Functionality, a test report from the currently authorized release of the VSPSE54-2003 test suite in UNIX03 mode.

A test report from the currently authorized release of the VSCPCTS-2003 test suite.

MIGRATION

This is the first version of this product standard. The Interim Conformance requirements are introduced in order to bootstrap the certification program, and are valid only for the first  six months of the certification program for this Product Standard. After that time submissions for certification will be accepted against the Hard Conformance requirements only.
