All,

In addition to the plenary sessions there are The=20
Open Group RTES Forum activites listed below you might want to consider.

Have a great conference.

The Toronto RTES Forum Meeting Recap & Agenda =96

    ---- Monday 20 July is focused Open=20
Architecture with the theme "Dependability=20
through Assuredness" featuring presentations from=20
the Department of Defense (Canada), the Modular=20
Open Systems Approach from the US DoD and=20
software assurance activities supporting the US Air Force Research=
 Laboratory.
We will look at what might be involved in=20
transporting a TOGAF generated Architecture to=20
the hardware and software platforms so as to take=20
advantage of the open source tools being=20
developed to support SAE's AADL and Formal=20
Methods. This effort should result in a complete=20
tool chain =96 requirements, high level=20
architecture, down through the different=20
architecture views, tie in to AADL at the=20
platform (hardware and software), ability to move=20
artifacts from one level to the next without=20
translation, traceability back to the=20
requirements at each level and with automated=20
tools generate sufficient evidence much like=20
artifacts generate for safety critical systems..

----- On Tuesday 21 July we will explore=20
developing a Cyber Security Solution based on a=20
MILS Architecture to include component=20
integration, compositional certification,=20
Automated Evaluation/Certification tools and a=20
commercial approach to evaluation and certification.

In addition we will explore how to test for the=20
key types of errors that are most exploited during cyber attacks.

------Wednesday 22 July will be MILS day=20
with detailed updates on the progress being made.=20
Included will be a look at the current SKPP to=20
see if the use of multicore processors requires=20
an update or a new SKPP. There will be an update=20
on recent meetings with the NSA, NATO, EDA, NSC=20
and the EC concerning the need for a commercial=20
approach to evaluation and certification based on commercial PPs.

------Thursday morning 23 July will be=20
dedicated to a Members meeting for the RTES Forum.
-----Thursday afternoon 23 July will be the=20
kick off for the Secure Mobile Architecture Work=20
Group looking at specifications for real-time=20
environments supporting SCADA, Medical Devices,=20
Intelligent Transportation Systems and potential Assurance Protection=
 Profiles.

--------- Friday 24 July -- no meeting

Note: The JSR 302 SC RT JAVA Expert Group will meet in parallel 20-23 July
