Mark DenfordUniversity of Technology, SydneyMark Denford holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Systems and a PhD from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). Currently he is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the UTS Institute for Information and Communication Technologies (IICT) and for the last 5 years has been involved with Avolution, a UTS spin-off company

In this time he has published over 10 internationally refereed works and consulted on large systems engineering projects in many Australian sectors.

He is currently undertaking multi-disciplinary, qualitative and quantitative research and consulting for large-scale, complex enterprises and systems on behalf of UTS and Avolution.

Case Study of Enterprise Audit, Modeling and Analysis at the Gold Coast City Council (GCCC)
Gold Coast City Council (GCCC) is one of the largest local authorities in Australia. The Council is undertaking an extensive audit and modelling exercise to construct a unique platform for analysis and strategic planning. This presentation will cover the approach used to construct the enterprise-wide model, using the ABACUS solution from Avolution. In particular the presentation will cover problems encountered and solutions proposed during the project, key views of the model, as well as the analyses and strategic planning scenarios made possible by the enterprise model.
