Presentation
Identity Management in Clouds
Anyone who has been through an enterprise identity management project understands the pain, complexity and costs associated with the integration process. Just to get the foundation in place requires a team of experts in identity, security, middleware, databases, directories, and Web applications. Factor in complex infrastructure and constant change and upgrade cycles, and the process quickly exhausts the resources and budgets of mid-market enterprises. Fortunately a new approach - Identity as a Service - has emerged that makes identity management a realistic, achievable goal for a wider range of businesses.
This session will explain how the Identity as a Service model works, including how it integrates with directories, databases, applications, and negotiates firewalls. In addition, it will cover the gamut of identity management functions that can be delivered on-demand including single sign-on, provisioning, de-provisioning, auditing and compliance, access and authorization, identity synchronization, strong authentication and identity integration.
