The X/Open Security Requirements Topic Group

The X/Open Security Requirements Topic Group (RTG) was originally responsible for setting the requirements that lead to the development of the X/Open Baseline Security Services and other projects.

This group has now merged with the OSF Security SIG to form the Security Business Requirements Group (BRG) of the Open Group.

The RTG was run under the auspices of the X/Open Joint Associate Councils (User, ISV and System Vendors) and so has a very user-oriented perspective on X/Open's activities. Vendors within the X/Open community are encouraged to attend and to discuss or negotiate requirements with the users within this forum. The requirements, once completed to the satisfaction of the RTG, are formally handed-over to X/Open for a technical response. The X/Open Security Working Group is primarily responsible for delivering solutions to these requirements.
