The Open Group > Grid > The Open Group & GridBoundaryless Information Flow is the vision of The Open Group. Grid organizations' mission can be paraphrased as an aim to achieve "Boundaryless Computing". Boundaryless Information Flow complements that objective by ensuring that information is accessible to those who need it, in the form they need it - when using Grid or other computing infrastructures. The Open Group has a significant resource in it's members' expertise, which places it at the leading edge of dramatic new computing trends. Steps to achieving this strategy goal include: engaging support from key vendors through development of a solid value proposition to their benefit, engaging staff and members of the appropriate Forums in plans to advance Grid technology, conducting a substantive conference with a Grid theme in July, and building relationships that will lead to advancements in Grid technologies benefiting our sponsors and membership at large. |
