UNIX® 98


The testing programme for UNIX® 98 introduced additional and updated test suites.

This web page summarises the test suite versions that are required for XPG4 Base, XPG4 UNIX (UNIX 95) and UNIX 98.

An (X) delimits whether a test suite may be used for testing a particular brand. An (o) denotes it is optional for an option within the standard.

Notes

  1. VSX4 also contains a POSIX and FIPS mode, and is the supported version of the VSX-PCTS, which The Open Group makes freely available.
  2. VSX5 is separate add-on to VSX4 required only for UNIX 98 testing.
  3. VSC5/VSU5/VST5 support both UNIX 95 and UNIX 98 test modes.
  4. VSTH and VSRT are new and used for UNIX 98 testing only.
