APG TOGAF Process Library (ATPL) |
The APG TOGAF 2007 Process Library (ATPL)
is an innovative and unique way of using the industry's leading open enterprise architecture development method
and framework – The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF™).
With the ATPL, end user organizations now can base their enterprise architecture (EA) practices on TOGAF and
create organization-specific versions of TOGAF that represent the concerns of their business and technology
environments.
Using the ATPL, organizations gain the following advantages:
Accelerate process adoption
The ATPL increases the velocity of TOGAF adoption by providing a platform, based on Eclipse Process Framework Composer (EPFC), for customizing and extending TOGAF.
Enable process integration
The ATPL enables an organization to integrate their TOGAF-based EA process with other processes, such as RUP, OpenUP, Harmony, ITUP, SUMMIT Ascendant, and CMMI.
Preserve investments
The flexibility of the ATPL Framework allows easy migration of an organization’s customization of TOGAF to future versions of TOGAF.
Leverage open standards
The ATPL was designed using the Systems and Software Process Engineering Metamodel (SPEM) from the Object Management Group (OMG). The ATPL was built with EPF Composer (EPFC), an open source product.
