Q. Will there be any extensions after October 31 2013?
A. No, there are no extensions as the exams will have been administrively withdrawn from Prometric test centers.
Q. If I fail the Advanced Bridge exam close to October 31, can I retake it after the October 31 date?
A. No. The only options for exams after that point are TOGAF 9 Part 1, TOGAF 9 Part 2 and the Combined TOGAF 9 Part 1 and Part 2 examinations.
Q. Do I need to renew my TOGAF 8 certification in order to take the Advanced Bridge exam?
A. No. You only need to have been previously TOGAF 8 certified in order to take the exam, you do not need to be currently listed on the register.
To prepare for a certification exam The Open Group recommends TOGAF training prior to taking the exam. Please note that we do not claim that by taking courses you are guaranteed to pass the certification exams, however we do state that training is an important component in certification preparation.
(**) All Accredited TOGAF Training Courses include the examination in the course fee. The examination occurs either on site, or a voucher is provided to take it at a public Prometric test center.
(***) Please note that Prometric operate a clean exam room policy, so all applicable open book reference materials are provided electronically with the examination test.
