James Cerrato – Chief Knowledge Officer, Ptech Inc.
James Cerrato, Ptech’s Chief Knowledge Officer, has been with Ptech Inc. since its inception and currently directs all training and professional services for the company.  As cofounder of Ptech Inc., Mr. Cerrato was involved early on in the development of leading-edge technology for business process modeling and automatic code generation.  In his role as Ptech representative to the Object Management Group (OMG), Mr. Cerrato participated in the OMG task force that developed the final version of the Unified Modeling Language (UML). Before founding Ptech Inc., Mr. Cerrato worked at Associative Design Technology (ADT), where the Ptech technology and methodology were first articulated.  Additionally, Mr. Cerrato has worked extensively with object-oriented technology, methodology customization, and metamodeling.  Mr. Cerrato holds a B.S. in Computer Science from MIT.

T.W. Cook has twenty years of experience in software engineering. He holds a BSEE from Rice University and an MS in Computer Science from William & Mary. As a lead engineer and project leader at Hewlett-Packard, he worked in the areas of system software, software visualization, and visual programming environments. He then joined Atherton Technology, first in an engineering role, then later to build and manage a professional services organization to transfer Atherton’s Software BackPlane product into customer organizations.  At ISSI, he led productization efforts for CASE tools and managed a PCTE implementation project. At ParcPlace Systems, he managed development and professional services organizations. He then co-founded Neometron, Inc., a startup building decision rationale capture software. At MCC, he leads the software and systems engineering research group, the Software and Systems Engineering Productivity and Agent Engineering projects as well as related strategic research areas.

After serving a 4 1/2-year tour in the U.S. Army, Ms. E. Jean Gilleo graduated in 1985 from the University of Arizona, with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. Ms. Gilleo went to work for the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command, Fort Huachuca, AZ in 1983. She worked as a systems engineer on various programs such as High Speed Secure Digital Facsimile, Corps/Theater Automated Data Processing Support Center - Phase II, Unit Level Logistics System, Standard Retail Supply System, Telecommunications Center Upgrades, etc. In 1992, Ms. Gilleo moved to Fort Belvoir to establish the ISEC Fort Belvoir Engineering Office, providing embedded engineering support to Program Executive Office, Standard Army Management Information Systems. She earned her Masters in Engineering Management from the George Washington University, 30 September 1996. The same month, Ms. Gilleo was selected as the Deputy Director Architecture Management in the Office Director, Command, Control, Communications, and Computers. Her division is responsible for the development and dissemination of the Joint Technical Architecture - Army (JTA-Army), the Installation Information Infrastructure Architecture (I3A), and the Army Enterprise Architecture Framework Document. This division also is providing Army's perspective to Joint Architecture working groups, developing and defining the Army's Defense Information Infrastructure Common Operating Environment (DII COE) requirements and developing and staffing Army Enterprise Architecture policy. Ms. Gilleo enjoys hiking, golf, fine wine and fine cigars.

Michael Spaulding is Director of Development for NCR's Visual Business and IT Consulting methodologies and tools. Mike has 15 years of experience helping companies align their IT architectures with the corporate business directions. Before his current assignment, Mike worked in NCR's Corporate Architecture team, NCR's Enterprise Architecture Consulting practice, and as head of IT for a small retailer. Mike has spoken around the world on the subject of IT Architecture, and has taught more than 25 classes on IT Architecture and Business Alignment. Currently, Mike leads the team that has developed NCR's Visual Enterprise Architecture Planning methodology and tools, and serves on the board of directors of the International Enterprise Architecture Consortium.

John Spencer has over 25 years experience in the computer industry, covering IT vendor, service, and customer environments.  He began his career with a major European computer manufacturer, and then for several years was a director of a leading UK computer training and technology reporting company.  Subsequently, he was responsible for corporate IT standards in three large international IT customer organizations. He joined The Open Group (X/Open) in 1989 as Programs and Quality Manager. For the last four years, he has been Director of The Open Group’s Architecture program.
