Minutes of the 9th March 2023 Teleconference Austin-1297 Page 1 of 1 Submitted by Andrew Josey, The Open Group. 10th March 2023 Attendees: Nick Stoughton, Logitech/USENIX, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 22 OR Don Cragun, IEEE PASC OR Andrew Josey, The Open Group Geoff Clare, The Open Group Mark Ziegast, SHware Systems Dev. Eric Blake, Red Hat, The Open Group OR Eric Ackermann, HPI, University of Potsdam Tom Thompson, IEEE * General news We discussed the IEEE MEC comments. Geoff has completed most of the specific word usage issues. We noted that IEEE now requires a Language Usage clause covering shall, should, may, and can. We will add this to the next draft so we can get feedback in the ballot. We think it will be able to co-exist with the current 1.5 Terminology clause. We noted that the MEC instructions to make the draft copyright IEEE are incorrect as it is joint copyright. Some of the headers/footers for the draft will be applied using a pdf stamp as part of final pdf production. We anticipdate having the draft ready in the next 10-14 days. * Carried Forward This section trimmed -- see Austin/1264 Bug 1406: clarification of SEEK_END when current pointer doesn't match buffer size OPEN https://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=1406 Actions carried forward: ACTION: Andrew to contact Rich Felker (dalias) and Alan Coopersmith (Solaris) for feedback.
