ACTION AI-2005-01-09 Andrew Josey & Mats Wichmann to propose a time and place for a joint Austin group/LSB Workgroup meeting to consider LSB/POSIX conflicts, to be held as soon as conveniently possible. Status: OPEN LSB 3.1 has now been submitted to the ITTF for publication as IS 23360-200x. The target publication date is December 15 2005. ACTION:Nick has an action to prepare an agenda for a teleconference. ACTION Andrew: Do final review pass on the Technical Report document. Andrew to contact ICSC to see if they plan to submit anything for the revision. This has been done but no response received yet. Andrew has sent another request to Martin Kirk. ICSC specifications that may be of interest identified by workgroup members are Extended Sockets API Issue 1.0 RNIC Programming Interface Version 1.0 Andrew to see if he can make these available to the working group. We had a discussion about whether there should be a project to develop a C++ binding to POSIX. We think that we should investigate whether IEEE would be interested in doing this. Action: ALL to identify any other groups we should be contacting regarding the revision. OPEN Action: Andrew to ask the SSWG Realtime if they plan to submit any new specifications for the revision. Next Face to Face meeting. Mark mentioned that IBM might be able to host the meeting in 1Q2006 in Austin. This is likely to be in February. We need to check the diaries, either the week commencing Feb 6 or Feb 20. Nick has also got a possible invitation from Canada. We should decide on next weeks call where and when to meet for the next face to face. Next Steps ----------- Andrew will update the aardvark reports with the latest inbound defect reports.
