The intent was that the language recognized by awk not be changed by c99, and that we wanted it to be stringent. We will ask Paul Eggert if he can help us cleanup the wording as suggested in http://www.opengroup.org/austin/mailarchives/ag/msg09158.html. XCU ERN 55 IFS Accept This is an interpretation XCU ERN 57 mv OPEN Leave open for now Don suggested as an alternative to the first suggested change as follows: If the destination path exists and was created by a previous step it is implementation-defined whether this will treated as an error or the destination path will be overwritten. We need to consider this with -f and -i and require some explicit behavior Next Steps ----------- Andrew will update the aardvark reports with the latest inbound defect reports.
