Minutes of the 31st March 2011 Teleconference Austin-517 Page 1 of 1 Submitted by Andrew Josey, The Open Group. April 1 , 2011 Attendees Andrew Josey, The Open Group Don Cragun, PASC OR Jim Pugsley, Oracle Geoff Clare, The Open Group Mark Brown, IBM, TOG OR Eric Blake, Red Hat Nick Stoughton, USENIX, ISO/IEC OR * Old Business Andrew reported that the editors are still continuing to work on production of TC1-2008 and have completed approximately 50% of it so far. Andrew also reported he had completed his action from last week to update bugs 75 and 97. * New Business We picked up on regular Bug processing Bug 0000251: Forbid bytes 1 through 31 (inclusive) in filenames OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=251 Don reported that he is still working on this item. Bug 0000374: malloc(0) and realloc(p,0) must not change errno on success OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=374 The other bug split out from this is Bug 400. Bug 0000400: realloc wording conflicts with C99 OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=400 A long discussion occurred. The conclusion was that Nick will reopen the issue at WG14. Bug 0000144: Standard lacks a (possibly XSI) interface to associate a session to a TTY; tcsetsid() Reopened http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=144 This item has been reopened and a submission of text added to the bug for the tcsetsid interface. It was reaffirmed that any change could only be for Issue 8 and not issue 7. There was some discussion regarding copyright permission over the interface. Action: Andrew to contact QNX regarding permissions to standardize the interface Bug 0000399: Handling errors during a psiginfo() or psignal() call Accepted http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=399 An interpretation is required. The item is also tagged for TC1-2008. Interpretation response: The standard does not speak to this issue, and as such no conformance distinction can be made between alternative implementations based on this. This is being referred to the sponsor. Rationale: None. Notes to the Editor (not part of this interpretation): Make the changes suggested in the Desired Action field. Next Steps ---------- The next call will be on April 8th at 08:00 Pacific and will continue processing defect reports.
