Bug 0000721: Internal storage vs static storage OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=721 This item is still open. * Current Business Bug 0000375: Extend test/[...] conditionals: ==, <, >, -nt, -ot, -ef OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=375 We skipped over this item this time as Geoff had prepared a proposal but is not present on todays call Bug 0000757: missing to option clause OPEN http://www.austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=757 Action: Andrew to update the bug with the results of his action from the previous call and mark as resolved. Bug #762: Add "==" as synonym for "=" in test Rejected http://www.austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=762 This was discussed at length during the call. It is our belief that test expr and [ expr ] should be made obsolescent (although never be removed from the standard) and that [[ expr ]] should be added to the next revision of the standard (which will be done by 0000375). Although implementations are free to add == and a synonym for = in test and [, there is no need to extend obsolescent features to require this to work. Bug 0000763: If rule has no prerequisites or commands, and target is non-existent, imagine it's been updated Accepted as Marked http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=763 This item is tagged for TC2-2008 Add to the end of the paragraph ending on P2911, L 95636: If a target has no prerequisites or commands, and the target of the rule is a nonexistent file, then make shall act as if this target has been updated whenever its rule is run. (Note: This implies that all targets depending on this one will always have their commands run.) Bug 0000764: Clarify the value of $0 with regards to the dot (.) command Rejected http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=763 This item was rejected, Bugnote 1876 proves standard is already clear, note 1877 provides a way for an extension that would allow temporary change to $0 Next Steps ---------- The next call is on November 7, 2013 (a Thursday) Calls are anchored on US time.
