Individuals who have earned the ArchiMate Essentials 3.1 certification credential have proven to have up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the changes introduced to the ArchiMate Body of Knowledge in the ArchiMate Specification, Version 3.1.
This credential is required for trainers to be authorized to deliver Accredited Training Courses based on the ArchiMate Specification, Version 3.1.

The ArchiMate Essentials 3.1 credential is targeted at The Open Group accredited trainer community initially, who take their training and the assessment directly with The Open Group.
It is also possible for The Open Group ArchiMate accredited training course providers with 3.1 accreditation to offer this course to candidates other than trainer.
