The O-PAS Certification program is based on the O-PAS standard. This standard was developed by the Open Process AutomationTM Forum. The standard enables development of fit-for-purpose systems consisting of cohesive functional elements acquired from independent suppliers and integrated easily via a modular architecture characterized by open standard interfaces between elements. O-PAS certified products allow end users to build open, interoperable, and secure systems with products from multiple suppliers, offering greater flexibility in obsolescence management, system upgrades, and technology infusion.
The O-PAS Certification program is part of The Open Group® Product Certification Portfolio. As part of this program, each Product certified will have to demonstrate conformance through an independent Recognized Verification Lab that provides third-party verification of Supplier claims. These labs that are authorized to do these activities within the O-PAS certification program can be found here.
Products to be found conformant will gain certification and can use the O-PAS trademarked logo.
