The TOGAF Framework Tool designation aims to highlight tools that empower organizations to effectively learn and implement the TOGAF approach and Architecture Development Method. These tools enable the creation of consistent models and deliverables across various domains, supporting transformation initiatives and ensuring cohesive architecture development throughout the organization.
The TOGAF Framework Tool Certification conformance requirements are based on the TOGAF Standard, 10th Edition.
How to Apply for TOGAF Tool Certification
To become familiar with the certification program, please read the following documents that are all available using the links below.

A prerequisite for Tool Certification is that your organization must have an applicable TOGAF Commercial License. View the list of TOGAF Commercial Licensees.
You are now ready to start the Certification Process:
- You need to prepare supporting documentation for each Tool you wish to have certified. The supporting documentation can be downloaded here.
- When you are ready please complete the Conformance Statement and the tool certification registration form.
- The Certification Authority will contact you on receipt and will share the legal documents to sign. An invoice will be raised.
- You will need to sign and return the legal documents, and pay the certification fee.
- Next you must submit the checklist and supporting documentation.
- The Certification Authority will then carry out an audit of the supporting documentation and you will be informed of the result.
- Once certified the tool will be listed on the register.
