Objective of Meeting
The Assured Dependability Work Group (ADWG) Members’ Meeting at The Open Group Amsterdam Summit 2025 had the following goals:
- Provide an update on progress made to the Open Dependability Through Assuredness™ (O-DA™) Framework to move it to Version 2.02
- Discuss the security use case being included in the O-DA V2.02, including use of the Zero Trust Commandments Standard, Zero Trust Reference Model, and Open FAIR™ Body of Knowledge
- Align on initial marketing material for inclusion on ADWG web pages on www.opengroup.org and a data sheet, and begin developing a timeline for content creation and publication
Summary
The first half of the ADWG Members’ Meeting focused on discussion of updated and new content in the O-DA since the previous Members’ Meeting at The Open Group Houston Summit that occurred in November 2025. This included a use case that demonstrated the value of using the O-DA Framework in identifying and remediating gaps during development and design phases rather than after implementation, including for security requirements.
The second half of the meeting focused on brainstorming content and structure of marketing materials for the ADWG and O-DA Framework to convey their value to Members and non-Members of The Open Group. This content will feed into web pages on www.opengroup.org and into a data sheet for the ADWG, and the ADWG will work with The Open Group Marketing Team for further opportunities.
Outputs
Assured Dependability Work Group Members will continue developing updates and new content for the O-DA Framework, with regular meetings being held to continue discussion between in-person Members’ Meetings at The Open Group Summits.
The Open Group Marketing Team will work with ADWG Members to ensure presentation of content for web pages and a data sheet, as well as for additional marketing opportunities, which include a logo, presentation template, and branding.
Next Steps
ADWG Members and The Open Group Staff will coordinate and collaborate to ensure progress on identified deliverables and marketing needs.
