Objective of Meeting
Share and discuss the work in progress regarding the evolution and restructure of the Digital Practitioners Body of Knowledge™ Standard (also known as the DPBoK™ Standard), and also the current status of the Portfolio of Digital Open Standards and the roadmap for 2025. In addition, to explore strategies and alternatives for further cross collaboration with other Forums to pursue interoperability and consistency.
Summary
There was a presentation of ongoing activities and projects currently in progress within the DPWG. These range from editorial enhancements to platform integration, showing the tangible progress being made. The portfolio is constantly evolving through the active contributions of its members.
The roadmap for the Portfolio of Digital Standards was reviewed, highlighting the key initiatives on the horizon. Members engaged in a forward-thinking discussion about what’s next and how to ensure the portfolio remains relevant, Agile, and valuable for the community.
An in-depth brainstorming discussion regarding the restructure of the DPBoK Standard, and the potential integration of AI agents was held.
Recognizing that Digital Transformation cannot happen in silos, the meeting then focused on cross-forum collaboration. Strategies were identified to break down barriers between forums, align initiatives, and harness collective knowledge to deliver more robust outcomes. This interactive exchange reinforced the importance of shared ownership and partnership across the ecosystem.
A session was held regarding improving the user experience within the Digital Portfolio. Including the look and feel, to search functionality and content structure. The session focused on honest reflection and suggestions to make the portfolio more intuitive, accessible, and valuable for its users. This will continue to be one of the key activities for 2025.
Outputs
During the session, a set of agreements and actions were defined. These will be considered in the planning for 2025 to evolve both the DPBoK Standard and the Portfolio of Digital Open Standards.
In addition, a set of actions and ways to move forward to pursue a closer collaboration with other Forums were also defined.
Next Steps
- Finalize the roadmap, including the associated actions and assigning action owners
- Create a working plan based on the roadmap to define activities for the work group
- Take the initial actions to establish a new activity to address cross-forum collaboration topics
- Set deadlines and follow-up meetings to track progress
