Ecosystems Architecture & AI Standards

Today, many mission critical systems reach out beyond an enterprise's traditional boundaries, which pushes solutions design well beyond the comfort zone of Enterprise Architecture and into the world of hyper-enterprise systems. This is a world of complexity and scale where IT systems must evolve as the context of their environment ebbs and flows. The result is a dynamic, interconnected web of critical business advantage, balanced against uncertainty and risk, and infused with AI. This is the world of Ecosystems Architecture.

Day 1 of the summit will focus upon the dual challenges posed by this new world of hyper-enterprise systems and the growth of AI, and examine how standards are both necessary and critical in controlling these systems developments.

Tuesday, April 23
Sustainability / Enterprise Architecture / EA & AI / Digital Transformation
Day 2 of the summit will focus upon some of the core themes. Looking in more detail at the role of EA and industry standards, and how IT specialists and businesses are dealing with the demands of the digital revolution and the requirements for increasing sustainability and reducing emissions.

Wednesday, April 24
Morning workshop: Using AI to Address the Demands of Ecosystems Architecture [No fee session]
This workshop will be led by some of the key authors of "Ecosystems Architecture - New Thinking for Practitioners in the Age of AI". It will introduce you to some of the challenges of designing hyper-enterprise IT systems, and the tools that you will need as the era of Ecosystems Architecture dawns. The workshop will demonstrate the critical role of AI tools in addressing the demands of Ecosystems Architecture, and will explain how and why thinking has moved on from long-held architectural tenets.

OSDU® Forum Edinburgh Meeting: April 22 - 25
The OSDU Data Platform in Practice
The Open Group OSDU Forum enables the energy industry to develop transformational technology to support the world’s changing energy needs. Developed by over 230 Member organizations, the OSDU Data Platform is an Open Source, standards-based and technology-agnostic data platform for the energy industry that stimulates innovation, industrializes data management, and reduces time to market for new solutions.

At this OSDU Forum Member meeting you will hear from operators, vendors, and cloud service providers about their engagement and adoption of the OSDU Data Platform along with details of future roadmaps and workflow capabilities. The emphasis will be on how to use the OSDU Data Platform in practice. There will also be numerous breakout sessions hosted by the various Working Groups in the OSDU Forum.

There will also be an opportunity to see demonstrations from software vendors at the Partner Pavilion in our networking sessions throughout the event.

More detailed information about the OSDU Forum agenda can be found here.
