This FAQ is to help explain the Search features within the Sophocles Mail Manager .

What is Search for ?
Search is a List Maintainer feature that allows searches for users and lists. There are the Start Page Quick Search fields and there is also a more comprehensive Search capability for Users and Lists that can be accessed through the Function Buttons at the bottom of the Start Page.
What can I enter when running a Search ?
In each of these Search screens, you may enter a partial string that will be matched anywhere within the field in question, eg. An entry of "abc" is treated as meaning "*abc*" in the database search. The fields are not case sensitive. These search capabilities allow for a more precise search of the database than that of the quick search fields on the Start Page.
