Fujitsu, the global IT organization, upgrades from Gold Membership and joins The Open Group Platinum Member roster alongside Capgemini, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Huawei, IBM, Oracle and Philips
San Francisco, CA – June 21, 2016: The Open Group has announced that Fujitsu Limited, the leading Japanese information and communication technology (ICT) company, has become a Platinum Member of the organization. Fujitsu joins the other Platinum Members who are leaders from across the technology industry – Capgemini, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Huawei, IBM, Oracle and Philips.
The Open Group is a global vendor- and technology-neutral consortium that enables the achievement of business objectives through IT standards. Through its forums, work groups, certificates and events, The Open Group facilitates access to integrated information to support business process improvements, also known as Boundaryless Information Flow™. The Open Group has 500+ member organizations, working to establish open, vendor-neutral IT standards and certifications in a variety of key critical subject areas.
As part of its Platinum membership, Fujitsu will have a seat on The Open Group Governing Board, which will be filled by Hidenori Furuta, EVP, Fujitsu Limited. Fujitsu will also boost its participation in a number of The Open Group Forums
