Houston 2018: Proceedings - Open Trusted Technology Forum

Open Trusted Technology Forum (OTTF)

Objective of Meeting

The OTTF held a half-day session Monday afternoon to discuss current status and direction.

Summary

A review was conducted on current adoption and certification of the OTTF standard.

The merits of an exam-based approach versus peer-to-peer professional certification or some hybrid approach were discussed. It was decided that we should go directly to a peer-to-peer open professions certification rather than have any exam-based or hybrid approach. It was felt the open professional certification had more gravitas as well as met the goals of the proposed certification program.

A draft outline of the “Requirements for Addressing the Risks of Tainted Counterfeit Products” was introduced to the Forum as a starting point. This is the beginning of a conformance document. The document was reviewed in its entirety.

Outputs

Notes and action items from the internal discussion were captured and will be brought back to the entire Forum at the next steering committee meeting/work group meeting.

Next Steps

Captured in minutes supplied to the members of the Forum.
