This book provides a survey of critical knowledge for a digital workforce. It is intended to guide a practitioner through the journey of building a digital-first viewpoint and the skills needed to thrive in the digital-first world.

It is structured to show the key issues and skills needed at each stage of the digital journey, starting with the basics of a small digital project, eventually building to the concerns of a large enterprise.

It is our intent for this book to be a living document updated through crowdsourced content and refreshed periodically in order to keep pace with the rapid evolution of digital business. In parallel with the publication of this book The Open Group Digital Practitioner Work Group will be developing standards and best practices for Digital Practitioners; once those normative standards are published, it is expected that this book will be revised to reflect those.
