Bio: Angela Dumm is the Vice President of Contracts and Security for CounterTrade Products, Inc., an Arvada, Colorado-based WOSB Value Add Reseller that provides IT hardware, software, and services to the federal government as well as local and state governments and schools. Ms. Dumm’s position as Vice President of Contracts and Security ensures that CounterTrade Products provides an extra line of defence for federal agencies against contract non-compliance and related errors. Mrs. Dumm plays a pivotal role in CounterTrade’s adherence to strict performance standards through her deep knowledge of federal contracting and more than 20 years of service at CounterTrade Products.

Q. How long have you been involved with The Open Group?

 I have been working with The Open Group since 2015 via the NASA SEWP contract, but just recently joined OTTF.

Q. What do you do, and how long have you been doing it?

 I have been with CounterTrade Products since 2001 supporting government IT needs. I began my career in collections, slowly learning the FAR and other rules of engagement with the government to ensure prompt payments. For the past 13 years, my focus has been on government contracting and security. 

Q. Why did your organization become a Member of The Open Group Open Trusted Technology Forum and what does/will your involvement look like? 

Collaboration in the technology industry is key. We appreciate the opportunity The Open Group gives us to work with industry partners to learn about and help shape industry standards.

Q. Why is it important for other organizations to join The Open Group? 

The ability to be an industry influencer, network with like minded professionals, grow our skills as individuals, and obtain a competitive advantage. 

Q. What are your hobbies? 

I love dedicating my time to causes/organizations that I am passionate about. I currently volunteer for the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association and the Colorado Laboratory for Combatting Human Trafficking.

I am currently a member of the NCMS Society of Industrial Security Professionals, the National Contract Management Professionals, and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
