    Q. How long have you been involved with The Open Group?

DGI joined The Open Group FACE® Consortium in 2025 as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance and modularize our mission planning software, PRED^TORS™. However, DGI has been an active Member of The Open Group OSDU® Forum since 2019 in association with our software programs focused on the energy industry – CoViz®, EarthVision®, and WellArchitect®.

    Q. What do you do, and how long have you been doing it?

I’m a Software Solutions Engineer at DGI, where I lead our government-facing efforts. That includes identifying SBIR/BAA opportunities, proposal writing, technical project work, aligning our mission planning technology with open standards, and representing the company at industry tradeshows and defense Forums. I have over a decade of experience on the technical side of things and have been actively involved in proposal strategy and submission for the past five years.

    Q. Why did your organization become a Member of The Open Group FACE® Consortium and what does/will your involvement look like?

DGI joined the FACE Consortium to align our evolving mission planning software, PRED^TORS2, with MOSA principles utilizing the FACE approach. I will serve as our primary representative to the FACE Consortium, attending meetings, mapping out where we can best contribute, and acting as a liaison to our technical team.

    Q. How has/will membership in The Open Group benefit you, your organization, and the industry at large?

For DGI, membership provides a clear pathway towards interoperability and increased visibility as we transition into the defense space. For the industry, we hope our modular, user-centered tools can enhance the mission planning process, reduce integration friction, and support more dynamic planning workflows.

    Q. Why is it important for other organizations to join The Open Group?

The more organizations that participate in The Open Group, the greater the collective benefit – from individual companies to government partners and national security as a whole. A focused community leads to more practical innovation, faster product development, and more efficient testing both at the component and system level. The more organizations that join, the more tools become available to our defense partners in order to respond quickly to new threats and evolving mission needs.

    Q. What are your hobbies?

I spend my free time working on our small farm, tackling (and sometimes even finishing) home DIY projects, doing arts and crafts, and adventuring with my husband and two kids.

    Q. What social networks do you belong to?

    LinkedIn

    Q. Any last thoughts?

I am excited for DGI to be part of The Open Group FACE Consortium and look forward to learning from and collaborating with other Members as I get more involved.
