Linda Tate is the Head of Technology Standards for Europe for Fujitsu. She chairs the Solution Process Board and Technology Approval Board for Europe. These boards control the use of technology and how solutions for internal or customer use are developed, built and managed through life. She also administers the Global Technology and Partners Board for the Global Delivery group in Fujitsu.
She has been with Fujitsu since 2007, working in a range of senior architecture and technical consulting roles dealing with large scale system bids and solution development mainly in UK Defence and the Public Sector.
She was the CTO for the Fujitsu business in the UK Ministry of Justice for 4 years before moving to a role managing Technology Standards, for the UK&I initially and then Europe.
She has mentored and developed staff and been particularly involved with the graduate and STEM programmes.
Over the years Linda has had several roles in IT training and currently runs the architect training in Europe for Fujitsu. This promotes the use of methodologies based on open standards.
Linda has been a Fujitsu Distinguished Engineer for several years – a role that requires annual re-assessment, demonstration of skills and activity promoting development of others both in Fujitsu and in the community at local schools and colleges.
