Rome Event to Focus on Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Cloud Computing
SAN FRANCISCO, March 22, 2010 – The Open Group Conference Rome 2010 will be held on April 26-30, 2010 at the Sheraton Roma Hotel and Conference Center. The conference will address some of the key IT issues facing organizations today including: the future role of enterprise architecture; moving information security management from science to art; and examining cloud computing as a key element for evolving enterprise-wide IT systems. All three subjects will be supported by expert and practical presentations, discussions and workgroups led by industry leaders in the fields of enterprise and security architectures and cloud computing.

Security: Security practitioners must ensure that business collaboration outside the enterprise can take place in a secure manner, while also making sure that business managers are demanding the best return on investment in information security. The security track, being held on April 28, will assess the current state of the art on how to architect secure enterprise business solutions and how to verify they are truly effective.
Cloud Computing: The objective of the Cloud Computing track, being held on April 28, is to further explore the themes identified by members of The Open Group’s Cloud Work Group. The agenda will include presentations that shed light on requirements, challenges, use cases or opportunities for the enterprise deployment of cloud computing.
