San Francisco, CA – November 15, 2017 – Today The Open Group announced the release of Edition 3.0 of the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) Technical Standard.
Developed by The Open Group FACE™ Consortium, Edition 3.0 of the FACE Technical Standard focuses on improvements to enhance portability and interoperability. Specific areas that were enhanced from the previous edition are:
- Restructured the Technical Standard for readability
- Added System Model Metadata Definition
- Enhanced the Data Architecture
- Integrated a Component Framework/Model
- Enhanced and added Extensions to I/O
- Included enhancements to
- Configuration Services
- TSS Interoperability
- Graphics
- Language Runtime
- Added Lifecycle Management Services
- Updated Interface Definition Language
