The Common Operating Environment (COE) provides a foundation for building open systems. It is a "plug-and-play" open architecture designed around a client/server model. The COE Linux Platform V1 Product Standard provides a standard environment, a set of standard off-the-shelf components, and a set of programming standards that describe how to add new functionality to the environment.
