Organization Overview

The Core Concepts stream aims to address, review, build some transverse capabilities shared by the whole (or at least several) data definitions domains (such as any abstract structures or properties).

The aim of PPDM integration group is to leverage the corpus of PPDM (resulting from years of standardizing efforts) to improve the Data Definition of OSDU, in collaboration with “domain based” existing DDSC’s streams.

Bring and Harmonize Taxonomy for Documents – Update and Create related schemas.

Extension of the RAFS generic domain to cover specific requirements for Fluids Samples, Analysis, Interpretation, Characterization and models.

Looking at the overall subsurface requirements for Well Curves Data – and ensuring the right update of extisting schemas & creation of additional ones to satisfy those requirements.

The well delivery data definition team is responsible for schemas related to the Well Lifecycle through the wellbore and associated schemas.

The Reservoir/Earth Model group is built to provide the data description required by the overall “Reservoir Modeling” workflow (from the initial geological model to the final reservoir simulation) as a support of the Reservoir DDMS.

Short Term Production Optimization & Allocation from different sources.

This workgroup is looking at defining all the data requirements and extensions to enable Flow Simulator Software to build and retrieve simulation decks from The OSDU Data Platform.

Integration of Well Pressure Tests, jointly with RAFS & Well Teams.

This group is focusing on providing a data definition to support the Production MVP2 requirements. It will focus on providing support for facility entities involved in the production of a reservoir. The ambition is to start implementing CFIHOS specifications into OSDU model.

Finds the right subject matter expert input to Seismic definitions, establishing the different JSON-schema components to ensure consistency throughout the schemas.

The CCS DD&M team creates common subsurface data models for CO2 geological storage, working in collaboration with other OSDU, Energistics and OFP groups to link the data types for the whole Carbon, Capture, Utilization and Storage value chain.

Ensure the availability of some real data sets to use in OSDU development and testing as well as reference implementations.

Data definitions group for the OSDU Mining drilling and sampling working group. The group will focus on building data definitions and schemas for all drilling and surface sampling data types in mining and exploration.

Data definitions group for the OSDU Mining Geophysics working group. The group will focus on building data definitions and schemas for geophysics data types in mining and exploration.

An OSDU Forum workgroup assembled to deliver and publish a vendor-agnostic technical standard from a stable, consensus-based subset of the OSDU Data Platform functionality that defines the components to be present on any OSDU Data Platform implementation. This group is also tasked with delivering an OSDU Data Platform certification program, which demonstrates certification requirements for independent, unbiased 3rd-party verification and testing of commercial OSDU Data Platform offerings.

Developing and operating communication processes that ensure both internal and external stakeholders receive fit for purpose information showing plans, progress, recognition, etc.

Outreach – carrying out proactive engagement with potential participants in the OSDU Forum (covering both existing members who are not active participants and organisations who are not currently members) with a Focus on increasing Operator participation.

Planning of OSDU Conferences; theme, agenda, presentations, working sessions, etc.

The “Interoperability Group Connect” is an OSDU Forum initiative with the objective to showcase use cases of one vendor app being able to read what another vendor’s app writes within our lab environments (stood up in Azure and AWS). The group meets every other Wednesday to report progress made by different Vendors and Operators to share experience, identify lessons learned, illustrate gaps. The aim is to generate interest and engage more such member companies to participate in x-vendor-application testing.

The group aims to demonstrate interoperability between vendor applications in OSDU, it does this initially by utilizing MSFT lab and expanding to AWS once ready in Azure.

The mission of our working group is to enhance users’ understanding of the OSDU data platform, data definitions and technical standards. We recognize the challenges faced by individuals seeking to grasp these concepts. To address this, we are committed to simplifying the learning process by offering an accessible, hands-on experience, empowering anyone to navigate OSDU effectively.

Working group focussing on Data Architecture topics within EA.

An open Forum for any projects to come to EA and bring their business requirements/dilemmas to us for advice.

Working group providing a venue where various software architecture challenges, issues, and opportunities can be actively worked on & discussed.Delivering various decision-support artefacts like ADRs,guides,documentation, software engineering best practices and processes.This group intends to maintain a close partnership with the PMC and the development community.

This working group was formed to assess the current state of the Technical Documentation, propose a new structure for the documentation and provide a list of actions for the wider EA community to undertake.
