Objective of Meeting

The meeting was held to discuss the definition of Open Platform 3.0, with the aim of publishing a snapshot of the definition by the end of the first quarter of 2014.

Summary

The meeting included a session on each of the five technological phenomena on which Open Platform 3.0 is based: social computing, mobile computing, cloud computing, big data analysis, and the Internet of Things, with further sessions on the cross-cutting issues of semantic interoperability and security. During these sessions, it considered the overall platform as well as the specific technologies. At the conclusion of the meeting, it made plans to develop a snapshot definition of the platform by the end of March.
