Objective of Meeting

This was an open meeting on SOA and Cloud Computing, to discuss the architecture of solutions based on distributed services, including Cloud services, using the principles of SOA.

Summary

The meeting focused on the draft Guide that had been prepared by the Cloud Computing Interoperability and Portability project of the Cloud Computing Work Group. This includes the distributed computing reference model that had been presented to the Cloud Interoperability Workshop during the conference. The meeting discussed the distributed computing reference model as a basis for the application of SOA to Cloud Computing and made a number of recommendations for changes to other parts of the Guide.

Next Steps

The recommended changes will be made to the draft Guide, which will then be submitted to Open Group Company Review prior to publication.
