San Francisco 2016: Proceedings - Architecture Forum

Architecture Forum: Proposed Resolutions to Change Requests (Meeting 1 of 3)

(Sunday, January 24)

Objective of Meeting

The main goal of the meeting was to discuss and define proposed resolutions for the change requests received during the second review round for the TOGAF® Framework volume.

Summary

The attendees introduced themselves and agreed on the agenda topics.

The group discussed the general approach about the review process and some key features needed in the TOGAF standard before going over the change requests spreadsheet.

The group then discussed and went over the change requests submitted against the Framework volume; particularly those submitted by Judith Jones, the foundation team (represented by Kirk Hansen), and those from Bill Estrem and Bob Weisman.

The discussion focused mostly on the requirements submitted against the first chapter.

Outputs

Spreadsheet updated with the proposed resolutions for the change requests addressed (see Links below).

Next Steps

The group agreed the following steps and roadmap for the rest of the event week:

  • Chapter 01 change requests addressed.
  • The spreadsheet will be updated on the Forum site.
  • We will continue on Tuesday (1.5 hours) and Wednesday (full day).
  • On Wednesday we will also decide what to do with the ADM Method guide, first review round and the content that Conexiam will provide.
  • On Wednesday we need to decide the next steps and to allocate only 30 minutes to the Security Forum joint meeting.
  • Judith’s CRs will be addressed in the morning on Wednesday since she could not attend the afternoon meeting.
