Digital Business Strategy and Customer Experience Work Group Meeting

Objective of Meeting

The purpose of the meeting was to advance the work of the Digital Business Strategy and Customer Experience Work Group and, in particular, to:

  • Discuss the forward work program of the Work Group
  • Progress the development of the Digital Business reference model
  • Discuss Digital Business Strategy and Customer Experience guidance material for the next version of the TOGAF® Standard (for example, on use of the ADM, on viewpoints, and on artifacts)

Summary

The meeting discussed the current status of the group's work and what further work is needed. This included in particular work to ensure that the TOGAF Standard can address digital transformation and customer experience.

The detailed minutes of the meeting are available to members of the Architecture Forum and the Open Platform 3.0™ Forum.

Next Steps

  1. Material will be developed based on the meeting discussions for inclusion in Work Group deliverables.
  2. The Work Group will develop guidance until it reaches a point where the TOGAF framework stops architects from doing something necessary for digital transformation and customer experience architecture. At that point, it will recommend changes to the TOGAF Standard.
