The Company and Instructor

Build The Vision Inc. is an active member of The Open Group Architecture Forum. The CEO and course instructor is Robert Weisman MSc, PEng, PMP, CD. Bob has 35 years of experience and has been an Enterprise Architecture (EA) practitioner since 1993 in Canada, Australia, Europe and the US in both government and private sectors. He was a major contributor to The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Version 9 and was awarded an Outstanding Contribution Award by the Open Group “for his extended and dedicated contributions to The Open Group Architecture Forum in the development of TOGAF 9”. He is now working on the next version as well as chairing the Architecture Forum Information Architecture Working Group.

Build the Vision Inc. offers the EA Using TOGAF 9® at the Practitioner¹, Foundation¹ and Advanced Bridge¹ levels specializing in on-site, customized course delivery tailored to serve industry and corporate needs.

The Courses

The core practitioner course is focused on Enterprise Architecture Using TOGAF 9^® and is replete with case studies, best practices and clearly shows how EA is used in conjunction with other management disciplines including Business Planning, Governance, Portfolio Management (i.e. PMBOK), Systems Development (i.e. SDLC) and Operations Management (e.g. ITIL). The course is non-technical and has been built to educate practitioners, managers and directors focusing on a benefit driven approach to conducting EA in Various Domains. It makes extensive use of the emerging body of knowledge from Business and Management Schools as well as innovative developments from the knowledge / information management and technology sectors.
