Final Agenda


The Architecture Forum at Boston will host a half-day public Architecture Briefing on Tuesday 22nd July. It will also host a members-only Architecture Workshop, from Wednesday 23rd July through the morning of Friday 25th July, in which the members of the Forum will progress their 2003 work program. As part of this workshop, there will be a joint working session with the Real-Time and Embedded Systems Forum.

Public Architecture Briefing
Open Methods and Tools for Enterprise Architecture
Tuesday 22nd July  2003 (P.M.)


Overview

This practical half-day Briefing will focus on methods for enterprise architecture that are independent of specific computing paradigms, technologies, and vendors; and on tools supporting such methods. It will also review the work of The Open Group Architecture Forum in its three key fields of focus - effective architecture frameworks; defining an IT Architecture practice; and effective tools for architecture.

In particular:

  • You will receive a briefing on the "Enterprise Edition" of The Open Group Architecture Framework, TOGAF, Version 8.
  • You will hear presentations on leading tools supporting open methods for enterprise architecture.
  • You will hear presentations on leading developments in the Architecture field from practitioners in both the customer and vendor communities.
  • You will network with leading architecture experts, vendors, and peers.
