Technical Standards & Corresponding Documents 

The FACE Technical Standard is the "keystone" document of the FACE Consortium. Listed below are the FACE Technical Standards and the corresponding documents for each edition.

The Consortium is sunsetting FACE Technical Standard Edition 1.x and 2.0.x and corresponding documents. Deprecation Period: 6/12/2025 to 12/14/2025 (no more CRs, but PRs). Final Conformance Window: 12/15/2025 to 6/14/2026 (no PRs, but UoCs can complete certification process). Once the conformance window closes, no UoC will be certified even if the process has already started.

The Open Group Open Universal Domain Description Language (Open UDDL or UDDL) Standard 

UDDL, a standard of the FACE Consortium, defines a data modeling language for formally describing, querying, and communicating information. It provides the mechanism to rigorously document the semantics of data exchanged with a goal of eliminating ambiguity. UDDL supports a model based engineering approach and provides for extensibility. The FACE Technical Standard extends UDDL to provide the FACE Data Architecture.
