SOSA Sizzles at New MOSA Summit

Kicking off a first-time ever open architecture/open standards ecosystem event on September 18-19, the MOSA (Modular Open Systems Approach) Industry and Government Summit & Expo was a resounding win! A great deal of that success is attributed to the event completely integrating (what was previously known as) The Open Group FACE and SOSA Consortia TIM & Expo. The two-full-day MOSA Summit was held at the Georgia World Congress Center Atlanta. It garnered over 2,000 registrants and welcomed nearly 1,500 attendees. More than 130 Industry and Tri-Services booths showcased the latest OA/OS/MOSA-centric products in the Expo Hall - over 80 booths were represented by SOSA and FACE® Consortia member organizations.

A busy Agenda offering ran parallel to the Expo Hall for a day and a half. That included Keynotes and Leadership presentations, several Panel Discussions, technical sessions, educational and training as well as a unique Tech Innovation Challenge opportunity in which over 20 companies participated in demonstrating their latest advancements.

Kudos to the SOSA Consortium members that presented their TIM papers at the MOSA Summit! Those talks covered: SOSA Small Form Factor Prototyping; MBSE-Enabled Automation for SOSA Interface Definition and Implementation; Accelerating Power Supply Integration – SOSA Paves the Way for Conformance Testing Backplane and much more. About - The MOSA (Modular Open Systems Approach) Industry and Government Summit & Expo (‘MOSA Summit’) was a new, in-person only event. It was open to the public, complimentary to attend with mostly Distro A content. The MOSA Summit included Leadership Keynotes and Panel moderators; both Industry and Government lead Panel Discussions; Technical Tracks and a few Business sessions; and Exhibitor booth product and capability demonstrations from a broad array of MOSA experts across the ecosystem. The event also included a ‘Tech Innovation Challenge’ aspect which provided companies an opportunity to present their latest product(s) to a panel of judges from Tri-Services and Industry.  The MOSA Summit gave attendees - and all participants - first-hand engagement with top government offices on initiatives, as well as with leading Industry executives and authorities implementing MOSA.
