Content Delivery Report on Current Activities

Objective of Meeting

Discuss the Digital Portfolio Work Group (DPWG) current work streams and active projects to share and discuss their objectives, scope, current state, and next steps.

Summary

The session covered the following objectives:

  • DPBoK™ improvements
  • Enterprise Architecture and Digital Product management (Architecture Forum joint activity)
  • Security content in the Digital Portfolio: work in progress and new relevant topics
  • Digital Portfolio customer experience – personas
  • Consistency across standards – content to leverage each other – overlaps
  • Definitions and core concepts alignment – consistency
  • General consistency to avoid duplication and misalignment
  • Agreements and next actions

A list of actions was defined for the work in progress to fulfill the portfolio vision and plan for continuous improvements.

Next Steps

  • Continue the support and management for all current work streams into the DPWG
  • Assure that all the activities will follow their roadmap and delivery time as planned
  • Pursue more engagement and members participation from different Forums to pursue cross-cutting collaboration, consistency, and alignment
  • Work with members and staff to improve and enhance the content of the portfolio

Digital Portfolio, ArchiMate®, and Architecture Forums Cross-Collaboration

Tuesday April 18, 1:30pm to 5:30pm

Objective of Meeting

Discuss the Digital Portfolio engagement and cross-cutting collaboration with the Architecture Portfolio

The session covered the following objectives:

  • ArchiMate Standard in the Digital Portfolio – What is next?
  • IT4IT™ Standard and ArchiMate models in Gitlab®
  • ArchiMate Users community approach applied to promote the Digital Portfolio
  • ArchiMate models applied to support standards and The Open Group publications into the Digital Portfolio
  • Digital Portfolio evolution and the TOGAF® Standard
  • Digital Portfolio evolution and the O-AA™ Standard
  • Gitlab®/Antora used for content delivery – members views and considerations

A list of actions was defined to improve engagement and continue the work to integrate the standards into the portfolio and to improve the look and feel for the ones already in there. Also, a technical discussion was held to explain the approach to use the platform to deliver content. Standards as code.

Next Steps

  • Continue the support and management for all the activities in progress with the Architecture Portfolio, in particular to support ArchiMate Standard better presence in the portfolio
  • Assure that all the activities will follow their roadmap and delivery time as planned and pursue new activities to cover the identified gaps
  • Pursue more engagement and members participation to pursue cross-cutting collaboration and alignment
  • Continue with the ongoing communication and awareness in relation with the Digital Portfolio as front end and as a delivery platform

Digital Portfolio Product Management – Technical Topics

Wednesday April 19, 1:30pm to 5:30pm

Objective of Meeting

Discuss the Digital Portfolio technical activities to maintain and evolve the digital platform and also review and discuss the product management activities to maintain and evolve the portfolio as a digital product.

The session covered the following objectives:

  • Attendees welcome and presentation
  • Digital Portfolio evolution – Product Backlog – Product roadmap – gaps to cover, capabilities and resources needed
  • Digital Platform for content delivery: Gitlab/Antora – IT4IT Pilot – update and further considerations
  • UX and customer experience (personas) – requirements
  • Product architecture for the Digital Portfolio: information architecture
  • Agreements and next actions

After discussions in relation with the Portfolio roadmap and backlog actions were defined to support the activities in progress and to pursue engagement to cover the gaps identified. Also, the technical work around the IT4IT pilot to use the platform for content delivery was discussed and actions were defined to close the gaps that we still have to offer a stable platform aligned with Standard Development processes.

Next Steps

  • Actions to support the work in progress and identify members that might engage to work in the activities still not covered
  • Feedback captured in relation with the digital platform for content delivery and actions defined to close the identified gaps
  • Discuss and confirm the actions to improve the Customer Experience for the Digital Portfolio and to define the portfolio product structure and information architecture
