Amsterdam 2019: Proceedings - Open Trusted Technology

Open Trusted Technology Forum Members' Meeting

Monday, November 4

Objective of Meeting

The Open Trusted Technology Forum (OTTF) members' meeting predominately focused on discussing possible/needed changes to the O-TTPS Certification Policy and O-TTPS Certification Register. The meeting also reviewed the Open CTTP Level 2 Experience Profile Milestone Application Form for errors.

Summary

The meeting focused on several things:

  • Identifying possible changes to the O-TTPS Certification Policy
  • Identifying possible changes to the O-TTPS Certification Register
  • Considering changes to the number of O-TTPS Certifications from these possible changes
  • Ensuring the Open CTTP Level 2 Experience Profile Milestone Application Form is accurate and reflects the Conformance Requirements for the Trusted Technology Practitioner Profession (Open CTTP)

Outputs

The Forum agreed on changes to the O-TTPS Certification Register that would change the presentation of Certification information, including certification dates, scope changes, and certification status history. The Forum also considered how/if these changes could affect the O-TTPS Certification Policy.

The Forum found consistent errors in the Open CTTP Level 2 Experience Profile Milestone Application Form: the Rationale from the Conformance Requirements document had been used to create the question instead of the Description, and the form bore remnants of the Open CA Application Forms, on which it had been based.

Next Steps

The Forum will consider possible repercussions for the O-TTPS Certification Policy from changes to be made to the O-TTPS Certification Register. These changes will not be made without consulting Forum members.

James de Raeve will work to ensure the Open CTTP Application Forms are correct based on discussions from the meeting.

Andras Szakal will consider the order of the questions in the Open CTTP Level 2 Experience Profile Milestone Application Form and share his thoughts with James de Raeve.

The Forum will consider what OTTF material(s) on opengroup.org need to be changed/updated.
