Set of 6 Credentials image

Certification credentials are an addition to The Open Group Certification program for small amounts of learning (3 hours upwards). They lead to the award of an Open Badge and certificate. They are being developed for a number of topic areas. Initially, knowledge-based credentials are being developed.

There are currently two types:

  • Up-to-date Knowledge (TOGAF Essentials 2018)
  • Specialist Knowledge (e.g. Integrating Risk and Security, TOGAF Business Architecture Level 1, TOGAF Digital Specialist, TOGAF Agile Specialist, TOGAF EA Leader)

In the future, it will be possible to build certifications from related sets of credentials.

The Integrating Risk and Security certification credential provides validation that individuals have demonstrated their ability to understand:

  • Essential security and risk concepts in relation to the TOGAF® Architecture Development Method (ADM)
  • Information Security Management (ISM)
  • The broader concept of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
  • The relationships with other IT security and risk standards like the ISO/IEC 27000 family, ISO 31000, and COBIT®
  • The concepts of Enterprise Security Architecture (ESA), ERM, and ISM
  • How security and risk management form a cross-cutting concern for the organization in general and for the Security Architect in particular.

The learning objectives for this certification credential focus on knowledge. This is an awareness credential, intended as a first introduction to the topic.
